My approach

Supervision that challenges and supports

Supervision is where new counselors find their voice. I aim to be the kind of supervisor who sees your strengths, names growth areas honestly, and walks with you through the hard cases.

My approach is developmental and trauma-informed, shaped by years of leading practicum and internship courses and by training in the Needs-Connection Model of supervision.

  • Developmental, strengths-based, and trauma-informed
  • Culturally responsive, with space to explore your own identity and biases
  • Creative and experiential, including expressive and sand tray techniques
  • Faith-integrated when that is important to you
  • Clear expectations, timely feedback, and a focus on ethics
  • Experienced in remediation and gatekeeping with fairness and care
